  • CHAPS. For urgent payments, this system enables you to make same-day transfers to another bank account within the UK. (Depending on currency and destination, cut-off times may apply.)

  • 24 Hour Telephone Banking. With one call from any touch-tone phone, you can execute certain transactions quickly and efficiently, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.*
You can make transfers, initiate CHAPS payments and view standing orders at your convenience with our Business eBanking system, which also provides these additional payment options:
  • SWIFT. Use this world-wide system for making payments outside the UK.

  • BACS. This system processes bulk direct debits and credits within the UK simply and effectively.

Receipts
In addition to standard cash-handling and cheque-processing services, Northern Bank also offers these deposit options:
  • Express Deposits. This service, available at most branches, allows you to pay in without needing to wait while the deposit is checked.
  • Night Safe Facilities. Secure after-hours banking, available at every branch, ensures that you don’t need to hold cash overnight.
