Or if you are a Northern Bank eBanking customer you can order your foreign currency online! Remember if you have a Northern Bank MasterCard you may be able to avail of a range of travel benefits.

Ordering your Foreign Currency
You can order your Foreign currency at any of our branches or online if you are a Northern eBanking^ customer.

Commission Free Foreign Exchange
If you have a Northern Choice Plus, Northern Prestige or Northern Freedom personal banking package, there is no charge for cash foreign exchange.

The rates for cash foreign exchange transactions are published daily on our website and in our branches. You can use our online currency converter and conversion table to give you an idea of how much of the foreign currency you can get for your Sterling.

Northern Bank MasterCard Credit Cards – Travel Insurance Benefits
As part of some of our current account packages Northern Bank can offer you a MasterCard credit card.

You can use Northern Bank’s MasterCard all over the world. You can pay for goods in shops and withdraw cash from ATMs and banks. The card can be used in more than 24 million shops, hotels, restaurants, service stations and airlines the world over – and of course on the Internet.

A Northern Bank MasterCard offers many advantages both at home and abroad and comprehensive travel insurance benefits are available with some cards.

MasterCard Gold card
Our Northern Choice Plus package# offers a MasterCard Gold. The MasterCard Gold gives the customer and his/her family world-wide travel benefits for business and leisure for up to the first 60 days of each journey. The customer is also covered for flight delays and lost luggage. Should the flight or luggage be delayed by six hours or more, this benefit will cover the cost of purchasing necessities such as clothing and toiletries up to a total of £700.

MasterCard Platinum Credit Card
Our Northern Prestige package# offers a MasterCard Platinum.
In addition to the services provided by the Standard and Gold cards, the MasterCard Platinum offers an extra degree of convenience and comfort both at home and abroad.

A MasterCard Platinum gives the customer and his/her family world-wide travel benefits for business and leisure including winter sports for up to the first 60 days of each journey, with no limit on the number of journeys. Cover includes Family travelling independently of the cardholder. In addition, higher level of benefits against travel accidents and illness during travel apply. For example should the flight be delayed by four hours or more, this benefit will cover the cost of purchasing necessities such as clothing and toiletries up to a total of £1,000.

Airport lounge access
The Platinum card provides access to airport lounges for you and one guest around the world free of charge.
