After you have returned the signed agreement on the use of Northern eBanking, you will be sent a temporary PIN. You will need this temporary PIN to set up your user ID.

The first time you use a PC for Northern eBanking, the Bank’s security software must be installed. Read about installation.

After the installation has been completed, you will be presented with a logon page to Northern eBanking. The first time you log on, you should set up your user ID. You can do this via the menu item First Logon. Enter your temporary PIN, and then choose your own password. You need to use your password from then on.

Please note that the temporary PIN can be used only the very first time you log on. You should discard this PIN after use.

Passwords

The password you choose must contain at least 8 characters. We recommend that you use a combination of letters (both upper- and lower-case), numbers and symbols that do not form a proper word. Memorise your password and don’t write it down.

Security download

The first time you log on to the system, it will take some extra time to download the required security software. Downloading can take two to 15 minutes, depending on your Internet connection speed.
