Vision: One platform – exceptional brands
Danske Bank Group's vision is about creating a unique set of banking products that can be used in all the markets it operates in. This makes the Group particularly good at running a retail business spanning various countries and brands. It also means that the Group can draw on experience and inspiration from its various markets. This helps the Group and also Northern Bank to improve, grow and develop our products and services.


Danske's banking model consists of two elements;

  1. A central IT platform provided by the Group and used to operate the various branded divisions. Today, all staff use the same IT systems and our products are developed in one resource area. The Group is also currently developing concepts covering the way it works with finance, HR, communications and credit.
  2. Exceptional brands that are integrated into the shared IT platform. The Danske Bank Group wants to create banks that are unique and have more to offer from a customer perspective. They want to have banks that are clearly differentiated and which reflect the local market.

Northern Bank's mission is to become "the best local financial partner".

We want to have relationships with our customers that are based on respect, openness, integrity and responsiveness. We want to have a thorough knowledge of our customers’ circumstances, needs and wishes so that we can offer the best solutions and service to them.

We also want to be a socially responsible bank and this is reflected in our Corporate Responsibility policy.
