Over the past 10 years, our top priority as a bank has been to support knowledge, confidence with numeracy, enterprise skills and also financial capability.
Our commitment is to support young people to become confident consumers and to make well informed financial choices, now and in the future.
We started this programme during Maths Year 2000 – a UK government initiative to raise numeracy standards – and it’s still going strong.
Northern Bank Science Counts with W5
Northern Bank Science Counts is a hugely popular and fun programme designed to help primary school children see the application of maths and science through a range of exciting experiments, bespoke workshops as well as a visit to the award-winning centre and exhibits.
Now in its 6th year the programme is offered to all Primary Schools in Northern Ireland and is divided into two categories depending on the size of the school.
Applications are sent out every autumn to all Primary Schools and activities take place from November - February during the school year.
