For over 31 years the Northern Bank Ulster Museum Lecture Series has welcomed the world’s most distinguished journalists, politicians, writers, poets, scientists and artists to share their knowledge, expertise and insights with enthusiastic audiences.

Sport
The Ulster Minor Club Football Tournament, run by Cumann Naomh Pól, has been sponsored by Northern Bank since 2006. Champions from each of Ulster’s nine counties compete on a knock out basis for the Jimmy McConville Cup and the title of Northern Bank Ulster Minor Club Football Champions.
Northern Bank Rugby Schools’ Cup is a partnership with the IRFU Ulster Branch, now in its sixth year. The second oldest rugby competition in the world, the Northern Bank Schools’ Cup runs from November to March each year and brings together talented young players from across Northern Ireland.
Agri sponsorships
For almost 40 years Northern Bank has supported the Young Farmers Clubs of Ulster. Our involvement includes the YFCR Ulster Young Farmer Competition which Northern Bank has sponsored for 38 years, sponsorship of the YFCU European Rally team, now in its 21st year, and most recently sponsorship of theTag Rugby Tournament.
Northern Bank is a long-standing sponsor of the Balmoral Show, Ireland’s largest agricultural show. The Bank supports the Interbreed Sheep Championship, involving 15 breeds of sheep. In 2006, Northern Bank was awarded the Silver Salver Award presented to the most co-operative sponsor of the Balmoral Show.
Northern Bank’s partnership with the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) also includes the Winter Fair – Northern Ireland’s annual premier dairy event, showcasing dairy cattle from Ireland and Scotland. Held annually in December, the Winter Fair has been sponsored by Northern Bank since its inception 22 years ago.
