Our emergency currency service can send you money if your card or money is lost or stolen while you are abroad. The service is designed to help you out in a crisis.

How can I get money in an emergency while I am abroad?


After you have called us, the money will be transferred as an urgent payment from your account to the foreign bank you specify. Please ensure with the foreign bank that they will accept monies to be paid on application and identification before providing us with the instructions.

What does this emergency service cost?
Please refer to your branch for details of all charges in connection with the payment and further details can also be found in the International Fees & Charges Leaflet. Moreover, the foreign bank charges a fee for receiving the urgent payment. This fee will be deducted either from the amount you receive or from your account in due course.
