Releasing some of the value of your home is a simple way to get the money you need.  Taking out additional borrowing on your mortgage is:

  • An easy and convenient way to borrow
  • Easy to arrange, if you already have a mortgage with us

Additional borrowing is only available if you have your mortgage with Northern Bank, are switching your mortgage to Northern Bank or you do not currently have a mortgage on your property.

Whether we grant you any of our credit facilities depends on your age and circumstances.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage or any other debt secured on it.

  • When you borrow against your residential property, the additional borrowing is available at our current mortgage rates
  • Minimum loan amount £5,000. If you do not currently have a mortgage on your property, the minimum loan amount for the mortgage product will apply.
  • Arrangement fee £150. If you do not currently have a mortgage on your property and new security is required, the normal Arrangement Fee for the mortgage product will apply.
  • Available on a capital & interest repayment basis only
  • Choose any repayment term up to 30 years or until you reach normal retirement age (whichever is sooner)

 

Overall cost for comparison is 3.1% APR.  The actual rate available will depend on your circumstances. ask for a personalised illustration. Other security may be required.
