Northern Bank has today (21st December) launched the third round of its Community Grants programme which distributes £100,000 for local community activities across Northern Ireland.

Not-for-profit organisations operating at a very local level are eligible to apply for a grant of between £500 and £5000 for projects that support knowledge or learning, the arts, or community sport.

Further information and application forms are now available here and from all branches of Northern Bank. The closing date for all applications is 12 noon Friday 29 February 2008.

Over the past two rounds over 1000 applications were received, with 155 awards made and a total of £200,000 invested in local communities throughout Northern Ireland.
